Inclement Weather Policy
At TraVerse Enterprises, the safety of our clients, team members, and trade partners is a top priority. Inclement weather can create unsafe working conditions and may impact scheduled installation or service appointments. This policy outlines how such situations are handled.
Definition of Inclement Weather
Inclement weather includes, but is not limited to:
- Heavy rain or thunderstorms
- Snow, sleet, or ice
- High winds
- Flooding or hazardous road conditions
- Extreme temperatures that create unsafe working environments
Scheduling & Rescheduling
Appointments may be delayed or rescheduled under the following conditions:
- Travel conditions are deemed unsafe
- Installation conditions could compromise safety or workmanship
- Local advisories or warnings are issued by authorities
If inclement weather is expected, we will make every effort to proactively communicate with you regarding your scheduled appointment.
Independent Weather Decisions
TraVerse Enterprises makes all decisions regarding delays, closures, and rescheduling based on conditions that directly impact our team’s safety, travel requirements, and the specific job site environment.
These decisions are made independently and may not align with closures or delays announced by local school districts, government offices, or other businesses. Differences in location, road conditions, job site exposure, and project requirements can result in varying operational decisions.
We appreciate your understanding that our determinations are based on real-time conditions and what is necessary to ensure safe and proper installation.
Client Communication
- We will contact you as soon as a weather-related disruption is identified
- In many cases, decisions are made the same day based on current conditions
- We will work with you to reschedule at the earliest available date
Job Site Conditions
Even if travel conditions are acceptable, appointments may still be postponed if:
- Outdoor work areas are unsafe
- Interior conditions are affected by weather (e.g., active leaks, excessive humidity, or temperature extremes)
- Ladder placement or installation surfaces are compromised
No-Fee Rescheduling
There are no fees associated with rescheduling due to inclement weather. This applies to both:
- Weather-related delays initiated by TraVerse Enterprises
- Client requests to reschedule due to unsafe conditions at the home or job site
Project Timelines
While we strive to maintain all project schedules, inclement weather may result in unavoidable delays. We will communicate any changes clearly and work to minimize disruption to your project timeline.
Commitment to Quality & Safety
Our installation standards require safe, stable, and controlled working conditions. Proceeding during unsafe weather increases the risk of:
- Personal injury
- Property damage
- Improper installation
For these reasons, we will always prioritize safety and long-term quality over maintaining a schedule during adverse conditions.
