Contour Sheer Shades

Are you looking for a window treatment with the softness of a Roman shade? Do you need the ability to control light and privacy like you can with wood blinds? Our Contour Sheer Horizontal Shades (or “Sheer Shades” as they are sometimes called) may be the answer to your problem.

These shades have fabric vanes that are suspended between two layers of sheer fabric. The vanes are available in both light filtering or room darkening options. However, they are not suitable for areas where you are looking for total “blackout” of any light coming into the room.

These vanes are available in three sizes: 2-inch, 2½-inch, and 3-inch. The larger the vane size, the further apart each vane will be placed. The further apart the vanes are placed, the better your “view thru” will be when the shade is lowered and rotated to the open position. These vanes can also be tilted to fully close and provide complete privacy.

Unlike wood blinds or faux wood blinds, these shades are available in sizes up to 120″ wide. This makes them an ideal choice for large windows. The flat profile of the fabric also makes them a good choice to install on French doors.

When the shade is fully raised, the vanes tilt closed and roll up into the decorative cassette enclosure and are totally hidden from view.

Contour sheer shades can be made with motorized or cordless lift systems making them a great option for anyone concerned about purchasing child-safe window treatments.
